Learning to come back to the table.

Bread needs a second rise to become what it’s meant to be — light, full of character, exactly what it was made for.

Sometimes, so do we.

For the past few years, I’ve been learning to come back to the table - again. The best way I knew how to do that as an empty nester with grown kids and grandkids was to bake for them, intentionally serving them through lovingly prepared care packages. Each week I would share sourdough, fresh-milled grain creations and fresh eggs gathered from my own hens. What started as something personal has grown into something worth sharing.

At its heart, Second Rise is a story of second chances. And just like good bread can’t be rushed, neither can healing. Neither can coming home.

We’re so glad you’re here — pull up a chair.
